Los Collados is about 1 mile from the seaside town of Aguilas. Aguilas, which is set in the bay with its own marina, is a traditional Spanish town that has a certain charm about it. In February, it hosts one of the biggest fiestas in Spain as well as many year round celebrations. It is a popular area for Spanish tourists from Madrid as well as the European market which is gradually coming here. Auguillas boasts 2 large sandy beaches divided by a castle. There are 2 long promenades and all of the usual facilities, bars, restaurants, shops etc. 1 mile north of the development is the small seaside village of Calabardina nestling under the large Cabo Cope headland – renowned for its diving and fine beach. The Cabo Cope Regional Park is a beautiful protected area.
