Unfortunately the press are quite expert at making a bad news story. They never contacted me (as an owner of a beautiful apartment overlooking the golf course at the Polaris World La Torre Golf Resort) or the thousand plus other satisfied Polaris World customers. Anyone who actually visits a complete Polaris World resort such as Mar Menor Golf Resort or La Torre can't help but be impressed.
Yes there have been delays, but buying off-plan 2 and sometimes 3 years prior to EXPECTED completion dates in any country (even the UK), we must expect that dates may slip a bit. On the other side of that of course is that the price of the properties 2 or 3 years ago is by present standards a bit of a bargain. I’m not saying Polaris are perfect, but I think that things need to be put into perspective.
Consider this - 800+ properties delivered at Mar Menor Golf Resort plus a fully operational full 5 star Intercontinental hotel and Spa, golf course, golf club, several restaurants, clinic/pharmacy, supermarket etc etc AND 2,000+ properties delivered at La Torre golf resort, several restaurants, pharmacy/beauty salon/clinic, a stunning golf club house (5 star Intercontinental hotel and Spa on schedule and due Spring 2008). Out of all of those customers, the BBC only managed to find 3 people to go onto their program and complain.
It makes me think just how hard did they try to put out a balanced program - then that would not be "true" investigative journalism would it. |
