 Located between the villages of Calasparra and Moratalla, the properties at El Balcon de Moratalla are set in beautiful rolling countryside with views to the mountains beyond ( photos on this page are from the El Balcon de Moratalla development). They are about 1 hour from the existing airport of Alicante, 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport at Murcia (San Javier) and will be about 50 minutes from the new international airport at Corvera which is due to open in late 2009.
Both the local villages at Calasparra and Moratalla have several fiestas throughout the year including bull running through the streets (not for the faint hearted). Calasparra is renowned throughout Spain as having the best rice, which is grown in paddy fields in the river. Slightly further afield (15mins drive) is the town of Caravaca de la Cruz which is one of the 5 holy cities of the world (along with cities such as Jerusalam and Rome) and is packed with history and has several fiestas throughout the year including the amazing wine horse fiesta where horses with jewelled coats are raced from the castle into the main square – a unique event. The whole area is only now waking to the fact that it is an excellent tourist location, with activities from walking to river rafting and has until now truly been one of Spain’s best kept secrets.

Payment Terms: The developer has just introduced fantastic payment terms – 6000 euros deposit and nothing else to pay for 8 to 16 months!! This is a great investment. The delay for the 2nd payment is because they are waiting for the final building licenses and should get these in approx 8 months (all other permissions and licences are already obtained - this is just a "rubber stamping" exercise at the town hall) . If for any reason the licenses are not granted your 6000 euros is fully refundable.
